Every piece of furniture that is donated has to be checked and recorded as a vital part of our operation. Inspect, clean, and inventory furniture donated through pickups. The furniture then needs to be moved to our showroom. 

  1. Must be 14+ -  Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, who also must sign up. Please do not sign up if there's not enough spots for both the child and parent/guardian. 
  2. Must be able to comfortably lift 50lbs i.e. Ask yourself, can you lift one end of a dresser onto a dolly?

What is inventory? 

All furniture that comes in has to be inspected and recorded for operational purposes, but more importantly to make sure it gets to our clients. Our drivers pickup donations of furniture and household goods during the week from the community, in addition to the donations from Saturday drop-off. Volunteers clean, inventory, and move these donations into the showroom to be selected by people transitioning from homelessness.
