What We Accept

Please carefully review  for items we can and cannot take. We only accept basic furniture and household goods appropriate for our clients who are making a new start in small apartments. Items cannot be broken, torn, stained, covered with pet hair, or missing parts.

Standard Pickup

The New Life team will pick up your items. As a volunteer-led organization, we have limited resources. We offer a lower fee that barely covers costs but a longer lead time.

Fee

We charge a sliding scale fee. Please consider giving more to ensure we can continue to provide furniture and household goods to people transitioning from homelessness. Payment is expected in advance online or by check/cash at the time of your pickup.
  • New Life no longer accepts Mattresses, BoxSprings, or Frames.
  • Outside (garage/driveway/porch/yard): $95
  • Small First Floor (1-2 items): $125
  • First Floor (3-10 items): $175
  • Upstairs/Downstairs (elevator/stairs involved): $295
  • 10+ Furniture Items, regardless of location in the house (table & chair sets count as 1 item): $400
  • 10+ Furniture Items, outside $150

After Submission

New Life is a volunteer-led organization and we do our best to respond to all inquiries with a pickup date offer as soon as possible, which is usually within a few business days. Please check your spam or junk mail folders if you don't receive a copy of your request submission.

We are currently scheduling 2-3 weeks out.
We will endeavor to meet schedules, but request flexibility.
